Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy these free performances in the relaxing setting of Alexandra Park. All ages entertainment, everyone welcome.

All performances are presented courtesy of the Esmond & Edith Lando Trust Fund and the Arts & Culture Office of the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation.

June 15  Little Mountain Brass Band
As a traditional British brass band, the Little Mountain Brass Band performs a repertoire from traditional medleys and marches to show tunes and original works.

June 22  Celtic Harp Choir
Join the Celtic Harp Choir, an ensemble of many harps, percussion, voice and flute, for an afternoon of traditional, popular and original Celtic music. In case of rain, rescheduled to Saturday, June 28.

June 29  The Creole Jazz Band
An afternoon of New Orleans Dixieland featuring the music of such jazz greats as Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton and King Oliver.

July 6  Just Jazz Trio
An afternoon of original music, instrumental and vocal swing, blues, latin, bebop and ballads. In case of rain, rescheduled to Saturday, July 12.

July 13  Vancouver Thunderbird Barbershop Chorus
The first barbershop chorus in the Vancouver area, this group has been delighting local audiences in the four part harmony barbershop style since 1950. In case of rain, rescheduled to Saturday, July 19.

July 20  The Randy Bluegrass Boys
An afternoon of the best bluegrass music with an all-star veteran line-up. In case of rain, rescheduled to Saturday, July 26.

July 27  Rainbow Concert Band
Canada’s only gay and lesbian concert band presents a humourous and eclectic selection of roaring ’20s, swing, pop, show tunes and classical favourites.

August 10  Warren Nipp
Warren Nipp plays his own unique solo guitar versions of current radio hits and past Top 40 classics. Enjoy a bit of everything: pop, rock, and even hip hop—all on one guitar! In case of rain, rescheduled to Saturday, August 16.

August 17  The Tunemakers
Enjoy music from the light classics, big bands, Broadway show tunes, pop and movie scores. In case of rain, rescheduled to Saturday, August 23.

August 24  Chamber group from the Fifteenth Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery
This eclectic repertoire includes everything from JS Bach to transcriptions of opera overtures, Broadway show melodies, jazz standards and songs of The Beatles. In case of rain, rescheduled to Saturday, August 30.

August 31  Five on Sunday
Relax on this summer afternoon with a woodwind quintet. Five on Sunday play music that ranges from Baroque to 21st Century.
