端午節即將到來

加拿大溫哥華也有慶祝端午節活動賽事

今年已經邁向第20年

到那 可以看到一堆外國人划龍舟 進行比賽唷!!

如果到時人在溫哥華 不妨找時間約朋友去參加這場華人的嘉年華唷!!!

暑假到了 天也比較晚黑 可以到處走走啦!!

                       (搭Skytrain當地捷運 在the Main Street/Science World station這一站下車即可)

Event Name: Rio Tinto Alcan Dragon Boat Festival

FREE ADMISSION

Event Times & Dates:
Saturday, June 21, 8 am to 10:30 pm
Sunday, June 22, 8 am to 6 pm
Races start at 8 am
All other activities start at 10 am

Location:
At Concord Pacific Place, Creekside Park and the waters of False Creek.

Festival Entrances:
1455 Quebec Street (south entrance).
At Concord Pacific Place at Quebec & Pacific Avenue (north entrance).

Blessing Ceremony:
Experience the "awakening of the dragons" during the Eye-dotting Ceremony, Friday June 20 at 5 pm. Ceremony performed by the Evergreen Taoist Church.

Rogers World Beat Stage:
Rogers World Beat Stage will be presenting the best in World Music by professional recording artists on Saturday June 21 from 10 am to 6 pm, and on Sunday June 22 from 10 am to 4 pm.

Baby Change Room:
On Creekside Park behind Cathay Pacific tent.

ATM Cash Machines:
On site and across Quebec St at Vancity Bank.

Spice Island:
At Concord Pacific Place, north side of site.

Information:
At South Entrance near Science World.

First Aid:
On Creekside Park behind Cathay Pacific tent and by radio.

Telephones:
Off site and inside Science World.

In case of emergency please ask any person with a radio for directions to Production Site.

Relax and enjoy the ride. In the interests of the environment we encourage you to use public transportation when you visit the Rio Tinto Alcan Dragon Boat Festival.

We are located just a one minute walk from the Main Street/Science World station.

Take the Bus!
Take the bus directly to the Rio Tinto Alcan Dragon Boat Festival by hopping on the #3 Main, #8 Fraser/Downtown, or the #19 Metrotown/Stanley Park. They all stop just outside our front gate. Transit information: 604 953-3333 and www.translink.bc.ca.
